Verdict in
Barbara Anderton v. Bass Underwriters Inc.,
Bill Turgeon on behalf of a 61-year-old underwriter for Bass Underwriters who was unfairly terminated from her employment in favor of a younger male colleague. Anderton received “pushback” from Bass Underwriters after she recommended a female coworker for a promotion in her office, largely occupied by men. Following this incident, male executives began to make comments about Anderton’s age and pressured her to retire, and was eventually terminated.
